| Philosophy of Indian Religion

India is the home of Philosophy, Religion and Spirituality. There have been various spiritual masters in India at every age. They have used every means to reach the people of various parts of the world to enlighten them to the grand avenues of a meaningful life.
The philosophy of religion is one of the most fascinating areas of philosophy. It addresses not only the most popular question: Whether there is a God but also the questions If there is, then what is he like and most important of all, What does that mean for us. These are questions that everyone surely asks at some point of time in his life.
Existence of God
Agnosticism is the view that knowledge of whether or not God exists is unattainable that we cannot be justified in believing either that God does exist or that he does not.
The argument from uncertainty takes the fact that we cannot achieve certainty as to whether God exists as justification for agnosticism. Whatever evidence there is for theism and for atheism is not for sure, the argument thus suggests, and therefore ought to be rejected.
An alternative approach to arguing for agnosticism is the argument from incomprehensibility. Theists have often been content to say that we are unable to comprehend God, that his being transcends our mundane experiences and that our concepts, which are derived from such experiences, cannot be used to describe him.
If God exists then we were created for a purpose; we are valued, loved. If God exists then we also have an incentive, not to mention a moral duty, to fulfil this purpose. Our eternal fate hangs on whether we follow God, as we were created to, or rebel against his authority. Classical theism is therefore often felt to restrict our freedom, but to do so not because we are unimportant, but because we are important and so have a duty of care to ourselves and to others. Theism thus affirms our value even as it constrains our freedom.
